If you thought the Microsoft Kinect or Playstation Move was amazing, just wait till you see what the makers of Nintendo and their new WiiU have in store. Today we were only offered a glimpse at what the controller looks like. The actual WiiU will be coming soon. The new controller for the “WiiU” is the next generation of console gaming and with it comes a plethora of new ways to play games and even surf the web.
Imagine a Wii mote on crack, throw in a touchscreen, a smaller version of your television, and for kicks and giggles, a drawing pad. While it may not make sense, to see it in action will make any kid or even parent drool. It is equipped with all the normal buttons found on your traditional Wii motes, plus the addition of a few more. It also comes with a rumble feature, a gyroscope, inward facing camera, and an accelerometer.
This new offering from Nintendo will even take your mind off of the new Ipad, well at least for a little while. With it’s 6.2 in touchscreen in HD, this new WiiU controller even offers video chat. If that wasn’t enough, it is still backwards compatible with all the previous games of the Wii. While there is no exact date of when the WiiU Sale will begin, we were given a general idea that sometime in 2012 well will see the exact date of the WiiU Sale.
Only having seen the controller and quick glimpses of the console itself, leaves a lot of questions open to the actual specifications of the WiiU Sale and exactly what will be offered by Nintendo when the WiiU Sale begins. While the actual sale of the WiiU is still more than six months away, it isn’t like Nintendo to keep us all waiting, so expect to see more leaks and information in regards to this new console.
